New Balance Invitational

(Formerly The Observerland Invitational)

Coaches and Athletic Directors,

You are invited to the Inaugural New Balance Invitational.  This meet has a legacy as the Observerland Relays/Invitational but in 2017 New Balance, under the leadership of Playmakers, takes over as the lead sponsor.  This new partnership will bring the meet into a new generation of Track & Field for years to come.  Some of the initial changes you will see:

Coaches Gifts

New Balance Invitational Apparel

Custom medals through 8 places

Athlete of the Meet Recognition

Awards for event champions

Farmington High School as permanent Host Facility

Observerland Champion in the 100, 100/110 Hurdles and 1600 Races

Teams from outside the traditional Observerland area

We are pleased to have the continued support from The Observer & Hometown Life.  In honor of their continued support we will crown the Observerland 100 Meter, 110/100 Hurdles and 1600 Meter Champions each year.

The meet will continue under the format that was started in 2016 with specific information to be found below.  We host an efficient contest that athletes, spectators, and coaches will enjoy being a part of year after year.

The New Balance Invitational will be held at Farmington High School each season under a partnership formed by the coaches from Farmington High School, Salem High School, and Playmakers (owners of the SE Michigan New Balance stores).

Welcome to the New Balance Invitational setting a standard of excellence in High School Track & Field.
